The National EOC said that during the first two days of the campaign, vaccination of more than 26.8 million children has been completed across the country. At the provincial level, more than 14.5 million children in Punjab, over 5.883 million in Sindh, more than 4.32 million in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, approximately 1.208 million in Balochistan, around 294,000 in Islamabad, more than 165,000 in Gilgit Baltistan and 446,000 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir have received polio drops so far.
The National EOC further said that polio is an incurable disease that can disable children for life, therefore parents should open their doors to polio workers and ensure that their children receive polio drops to secure their future.
