A new study has found that academic pressure on adolescents can have deep and long term effects on their mental health.

‎The research revealed that those who faced higher academic pressure at the age of 15 were more likely to suffer from depression by early adulthood.

‎The study also found that this pressure is linked to an increased risk of self harm, and this trend may persist until the age of 24.

‎Experts say that excessive pressure regarding academic performance can lead to serious consequences for the mental health of young people.
