An Assistant Commissioner narrowly escaped injury after a petrol bomb was hurled at him during an anti-encroachment operation in Lea Market, located in Karachi.
According to officials, the incident occurred while authorities were conducting a routine operation against illegal encroachments in the area. An unidentified individual allegedly threw a petrol bomb at Assistant Commissioner Hazim Bangwar; however, he remained unharmed.
The explosive device reportedly landed near a shop, triggering a fire. The blaze was brought under control on the spot through immediate response efforts.
Authorities confirmed that three individuals suspected of involvement in the attack have been taken into custody. Despite the incident, officials stated that the anti-encroachment operation was completed as planned.
Further investigation into the attack is underway.
