Entry of complainants has been banned in the secretariats of Specialized Healthcare and Health & Population departments, causing severe difficulties for visitors.
No complainant is now allowed to enter the offices of both departments, while security personnel are ensuring the implementation of this restriction.
Moreover, officers of both health departments are also not present in the offices in the name of reducing expenses, due to which visitors are facing great difficulties in resolving their complaints and issues.
It should be noted that a few months ago the Specialized Healthcare Department was facing difficulties in running five small teaching hospitals in the city.
Consideration began to hand over the five small teaching hospitals to the Health and Population Welfare Department. Government Syed Mithha Hospital, Nawaz Sharif Hospital Yaki Gate, Mian Munshi Hospital, Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital and Shahdara Teaching Hospital are included.
It was decided to hand over all five hospitals back to the Health Department and run them as DHQ hospitals.
