Monkeypox has been confirmed in a 15 year old boy in Lahore.
The Punjab Health Department’s lab confirmed that the monkeypox patient is under treatment at Mayo Hospital. The number of monkeypox cases reported in Punjab this year has reached 26.
MS Mayo Hospital Dr. Mudabbir Rehman said that an isolation ward has been established for monkeypox patients, and the patient is being provided with all possible medical facilities.
He further said that the Health Department has also advised citizens to adopt precautionary measures.
