Mayo Hospital Lahore Reports 32 Monkeypox Cases this Year

MS of Mayo Hospital Lahore Dr Abdul Mudabbir has said that 32 cases of monkeypox have been reported this year.

‎Dr Abdul Mudabbir said that 6 patients of monkeypox are currently under treatment at Mayo Hospital, and patients are coming from Lahore and surrounding areas.

‎He said that people of all ages are being affected by monkeypox, and none of the patients had traveled abroad.

‎The MS of Mayo Hospital said that the increase in monkeypox cases this year is concerning, and anyone experiencing red rashes on the body, itching and high fever should immediately go to the hospital.

‎He said that there is no specific medicine for monkeypox and patients recover after 14 days.

‎Dr Abdul Mudabbir also said that no deaths have occurred from monkeypox this year, while last year 21 cases were reported, of which 3 resulted in deaths.
