PTA has taken action against those involved in the online advertisement and illegal sale of medicines through online platforms.

‎On the request of DRAP to curb the online promotion and sale of unregistered medicines, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority took immediate action and launched a crackdown against websites and social media pages involved in selling unregistered medicines.

‎Under necessary measures to limit online access to unregistered medicines, several websites removed illegal products following PTA action.

‎According to PTA sources, websites that do not remove content related to the sale of medicines will be blocked.

‎It is worth mentioning that DRAP had declared the online sale of medicines related to sexual health, weight loss and mental disorders illegal.
