Karachi: Another Monkeypox Case Reported, Number of Affected Individuals Reaches 9

Another case of monkeypox has emerged in the city, bringing the total number of affected individuals to 9.

‎According to hospital officials, the virus was confirmed yesterday in a 38-year-old man. The affected patient was shifted from Thana Colony and admitted to the Infectious Diseases Hospital.

‎Officials said that the patient’s condition is being continuously monitored, while possible contacts are also being traced to prevent further spread of the virus.

‎It is worth mentioning that an increase in monkeypox cases has been observed in Karachi in recent days, in view of which the health department has advised citizens to adopt precautionary measures.
