Iranian journalist John Hussain has claimed that some Pakistani citizens in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are facing difficulties due to their names and religious background. According to him, individuals with names such as Ali, Abbas, Hassan, and Hussain are reportedly being subjected to additional scrutiny and, in some cases, visa or residency-related issues.
John Hussain stated on social media and online platforms that rising regional tensions, particularly linked to the Iran-Israel conflict, have led to stricter security monitoring in parts of the Gulf region. He claimed that several Pakistani families have been affected, creating concern and uncertainty within the community.
However, UAE authorities have not officially confirmed these allegations or announced any policy targeting specific names or groups. Analysts say the reports should be independently verified, as unconfirmed claims circulating online can quickly create fear and misinformation.
