ISLAMABAD – Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry confirmed early Wednesday that India carried out missile strikes targeting Bahawalpur, Kotli, and Muzaffarabad, calling it a “cowardly attack” amid heightened tensions following a militant incident in Indian-occupied Kashmir.

Speaking to ARY News at 1:06am, the military spokesperson said India launched air strikes on the Subhanullah Mosque in Ahmed East, Bahawalpur, and additional targets in Kotli and Muzaffarabad. “The enemy conducted this shameful assault from within its own airspace, never violating Pakistan’s territory,” he noted.

“All Pakistan Air Force jets are airborne and alert,” Lt Gen Chaudhry stated. “Let me be clear: Pakistan will respond decisively, at a time and place of its choosing. This provocation will not go unanswered.
