The Islamabad administration has officially announced Eid ul Azha and summer holidays for educational institutions across the federal capital, providing relief to thousands of students and teachers amid rising temperatures and upcoming religious festivities.

According to the notification issued by the relevant education authorities, all public and private schools and colleges in Islamabad will remain closed for Eid ul Azha holidays from June 5 to June 9. Educational activities are expected to resume after the holidays unless further changes are announced.

Authorities have also confirmed summer vacations for schools and colleges due to the intense heatwave affecting several parts of the country. The summer break for educational institutions is expected to begin shortly after Eid holidays, allowing students and staff to avoid extreme weather conditions during peak summer temperatures.

Officials stated that the decision was taken after consultations with education departments and weather experts as temperatures continue to rise in Islamabad and nearby regions. Parents and educational institutions had also been demanding early holidays due to health concerns linked to severe heat conditions.

The announcement has been welcomed by students and teachers, many of whom had raised concerns over difficulties in attending classes during the ongoing hot weather. Several schools had already reduced class timings in recent weeks to protect students from heat-related illnesses.

Education authorities advised parents to ensure children remain hydrated and avoid unnecessary outdoor activities during the summer season. Schools and colleges have also been instructed to complete pending academic activities and examination-related work before the vacation period begins.

Officials further stated that any changes to the reopening schedule would be communicated through official notifications depending on weather conditions and administrative decisions.
