Precautionary Measure Introduced to Strengthen Public Health Protection

The United Arab Emirates has temporarily suspended the issuance of new visas for nationals of three countries as part of precautionary measures aimed at preventing the spread of the Ebola virus.

According to officials, the decision was taken following health risk assessments and ongoing monitoring of the Ebola situation in affected regions. Authorities emphasized that the measure is intended to protect public health and reduce the risk of potential transmission.

The temporary suspension applies to new visa applications, while authorities continue to review the situation in coordination with international health organizations. Travelers are advised to check the latest immigration and health requirements before making travel arrangements.

Health officials stated that the UAE remains committed to maintaining strict disease prevention protocols at airports, seaports, and border entry points. Enhanced screening procedures and health monitoring measures have also been implemented as part of the country’s preparedness efforts.

Experts note that governments around the world often adopt temporary travel and visa restrictions during outbreaks of infectious diseases to help limit cross-border transmission and safeguard public health.

Authorities have assured residents and visitors that the situation is being closely monitored and that any future policy adjustments will be based on scientific assessments and public health recommendations.

The move reflects broader international efforts to contain the spread of Ebola and minimize risks associated with international travel during disease outbreaks.
