Doctors and paramedical staff staged a strong protest in Quetta following an acid attack on a woman doctor, condemning the incident and demanding the immediate arrest of those responsible. The demonstration was attended by healthcare professionals from various hospitals, who described the attack as a grave act of violence against medical workers and women.

Protesters gathered outside medical facilities and carried placards calling for justice for the victim. They urged authorities to conduct a transparent investigation and ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice without delay. Medical associations also expressed concern over the safety and security of healthcare workers, particularly female professionals serving in public hospitals.

According to reports, the woman doctor sustained injuries in the acid attack and was provided medical treatment. The incident has sparked outrage within the medical community, with many healthcare workers warning that such acts of violence create fear and insecurity among professionals dedicated to serving the public.

Representatives of doctors’ organizations called on the government to strengthen protection measures for healthcare staff and take strict action against those involved in attacks on medical personnel. They emphasized that ensuring a safe working environment is essential for the effective functioning of healthcare services.

Authorities have reportedly launched an investigation into the attack, while healthcare workers have vowed to continue raising their voices until justice is delivered and stronger safeguards are put in place to prevent similar incidents in the future.
