The Punjab government has issued a warning to private schools against charging excessive or unauthorized fees for summer camps, directing institutions to strictly follow the approved fee structure and regulations.
Officials stated that complaints have been received regarding some private schools imposing additional charges under the guise of summer activities. Authorities clarified that educational or recreational summer camps should not be used as a means to collect extra fees from parents beyond approved limits.
The directive was issued under the supervision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, who has emphasized transparency and regulation in the private education sector. The government stated that protecting parents from financial burden and ensuring fair practices in schools remains a priority.
The Punjab Education Department has instructed district education authorities to monitor private schools closely and take strict action against institutions found violating fee regulations.
