The Balochistan Health Department has suspended 23 doctors and issued show cause notices to 25 doctors.
The Health Department has also suspended the postgraduate training registration of five trainee doctors and has formally initiated an inquiry against them.
According to Shahid Rind, Adviser to the Chief Minister of Balochistan, strikes and closures in institutions related to human lives and health are illegal actions under court orders.
Shahid Rind said that all government health institutions in Balochistan will remain open, and disciplinary action will be taken against employees absent from essential services. On the recommendation of senior doctors, the Government of Balochistan has established a committee to review the security situation in health institutions.
He stated that the committee will include provincial government officials, senior doctors, representatives of the Health Department, and security officials. He added that the health sector is directly linked to human lives, and no action against the public interest or violation of rules and regulations will be tolerated.
Shahid Rind, Adviser to the Chief Minister of Balochistan, said that efforts are continuing to resolve the legitimate issues of the medical community and improve the healthcare system. He emphasized that there will be no compromise on the law and service rules, and that facts and responsibilities will be determined through transparent and impartial investigations in all matters.
