Authorities in Kuwait have reminded employers to make full use of the country’s visa transfer system to improve labor market efficiency and ensure compliance with employment regulations.
According to officials, the visa transfer mechanism allows eligible expatriate workers to transfer between employers under approved legal procedures without leaving the country. The system is intended to provide greater flexibility for both businesses and foreign workers.
Labor authorities stressed that companies must comply with official rules on residency permits, employment contracts, and worker transfers. Employers were also warned against delaying transfer requests or violating labor laws related to expatriate employees.
Officials say the initiative is part of Kuwait’s broader reforms aimed at improving transparency in the labor market and protecting workers’ rights while helping businesses address workforce needs more effectively.
The government has encouraged employers and workers to use official digital platforms and approved channels for all visa transfer procedures to avoid legal complications.
