Lahore: Government College University (GCU) Lahore has announced the launch of its first-ever GCU Summer Internship Program (GCU-SIP) 2026, providing undergraduate students with an opportunity to gain practical experience in academic, research, administrative, governance, and information technology departments. The initiative is open to students from GCU Lahore as well as other Higher Education Commission (HEC)-recognized universities across Pakistan.
According to the university, the internship will run for six to eight weeks, enabling participants to work alongside faculty members and administrative professionals while developing research, communication, and workplace skills. The program is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and professional experience.
To be eligible, applicants must have successfully completed at least the fourth semester of a BS degree or the equivalent of two years of undergraduate education from an HEC-recognized institution. Students with strong academic performance are encouraged to apply.
University officials said the internship reflects GCU Lahore’s commitment to preparing students for future careers by providing hands-on training and exposure to real-world institutional operations. The program is expected to enhance participants’ professional competencies and improve their employability after graduation.
Applications for the GCU Summer Internship Program 2026 are being accepted online, and interested candidates are advised to complete the application process before the announced deadline.
