Lahore: The Punjab Education Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority (PECTAA) has approved the payment of salaries for its employees after an eight-month delay, bringing relief to staff members whose payments had remained pending since their appointments.
The decision was taken during a meeting of the PECTAA Board, where members unanimously approved the release of salaries for three Managing Directors and other employees. The move resolves a long-standing administrative issue that had delayed salary disbursement despite employees having already assumed their responsibilities.
According to officials, the approval will allow the authority to immediately begin the process of clearing outstanding salaries. Employees had been awaiting the decision for several months, with the delay affecting the smooth functioning of the newly established education authority.
The board also reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening PECTAA’s institutional framework and ensuring efficient administrative operations. Officials expressed hope that resolving the salary issue would improve employee morale and enable the authority to focus on its core responsibilities of curriculum development, teacher training, and educational assessment across Punjab.
