The newly appointed Chief of the Naval Staff Committee (CNSC), Admiral Aamer Raza, called on Chief of Defence Staff (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to the military’s media wing, the meeting focused on matters of national security, regional stability and strengthening coordination among Pakistan’s armed forces. Both military leaders exchanged views on the evolving regional security environment and discussed measures to enhance joint operational preparedness.
Field Marshal Asim Munir congratulated Admiral Aamer Raza on assuming his new responsibilities and expressed confidence in his leadership. He emphasized the importance of close cooperation among the country’s armed services to effectively address emerging security challenges and safeguard Pakistan’s national interests.
During the meeting, both officials also reviewed the prevailing strategic environment and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining peace, stability and a strong national defence. They stressed the need for continued inter-services coordination to improve operational effectiveness and respond to both conventional and non-conventional security threats.
The ISPR stated that the meeting reflected the military leadership’s commitment to strengthening institutional cooperation and ensuring a coordinated approach to national defence. The discussion also underscored the importance of preparedness in light of changing regional and global security dynamics.
The meeting comes at a time when Pakistan’s armed forces continue to monitor regional developments closely while focusing on enhancing defence capabilities and maintaining operational readiness.
