Engineer Prof. Dr. Surosh Hashmat Lodhi, former Vice Chancellor of NED University, has officially assumed charge as the Chairman of the Charter Inspection and Evaluation Committee (CIEC) under the Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC).

The CIEC is the second most important post within the Sindh HEC structure, with its chairman designated as the acting Chairman of the Commission in the absence of the official SHEC Chairperson.

For the first time in Sindh’s history, this post was filled through an open advertisement. Following a competitive selection process, Dr. Lodhi was chosen and his name was sent to three credible intelligence agencies for clearance.

After receiving the final clearance earlier this week, his official notification was issued, and he formally took charge of his duties.
