Karachi: The Sindh College Education Department has announced a public holiday for all public and private colleges across the province in observance of Youm-e-Ashura (9th and 10th Muharram).
According to the official notification, all government and private colleges will remain closed on the designated dates to mark the religious occasion. Normal academic activities will resume after the holiday, in line with the academic calendar issued by the department.
The College Education Department directed the administrations of all public and private colleges to strictly implement the notification and ensure that students, teachers, and staff are informed about the holiday schedule.
Authorities have also advised students to stay updated through their respective college administrations and official government notifications for any further announcements regarding the academic calendar.
