Karachi Board Cracks Down on Cheating: 44 Mobile Phones Seized During Intermediate Exam

On the 19th day of the Intermediate Annual Examinations 2025, held under the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK), 44 mobile phones were seized during the evening shift Computer Science Paper-I of the Science General Group, as part of an anti-cheating operation.

Acting on a complaint received by the control room committee, a special team comprising Professor Munawwar Abbas, Professor Syed Imran Ali, and Professor Maqbool Memon, accompanied by BIEK officials, conducted a surprise visit to S.M. Government Arts and Commerce College (Evening).

During the raid, they caught several cheating cases and confiscated 44 mobile phones from students, which were handed over to the center superintendent along with the candidates’ admit cards for further action. Board authorities emphasized that strict measures will continue to ensure the transparency and integrity of the examination process.
