Peshawar, October 26, 2026 — The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) has announced a six-month schedule for planned electricity shutdowns to carry out maintenance and development work across its power distribution network.
According to an official notification, the schedule will remain in effect from October 16, 2026, to March 31, 2027. The company has directed its relevant departments to complete necessary maintenance and development activities while minimising inconvenience to electricity consumers.
PESCO has instructed officials to combine maintenance work wherever possible to reduce the duration and frequency of power interruptions. Departments have also been directed to follow the approved schedule strictly, with routine changes or additional shutdowns not permitted without authorisation.
The notification further requires officials to inform major consumers, industrial units, hospitals, educational institutions and local community etc.
