Karachi has been rattled by a series of 11 earthquakes since Sunday, causing widespread panic among residents.

At 12:53 AM last night, fresh tremors measuring 3.4 magnitude were felt across several neighborhoods, including Landhi, where cracks appeared on the walls of many houses, prompting residents to rush outdoors in fear.

Earlier on Monday night at 11:16 PM, tremors measuring 2.4 magnitude were recorded, with the epicenter about 10 kilometers near Malir. Areas such as Landhi Sherpao and Quaidabad experienced the quakes.

According to the Seismological Center, minor tremors may continue over the next two days.

Chief Meteorologist Ameer Haider told Geo News that these tremors are linked to the active Landhi Fault Region, which has so far not produced major earthquakes. Karachi also has another active fault line near Thana Bola Khan. He noted that mild to moderate quakes are commonly reported in these zones, including near the Kirthar mountain boundary, and it may take several days for the fault line to stabilize.
