Rising Use of E-Cigarettes Poses Serious Health Risks for Youth

The use of e-cigarettes is quickly increasing among young people. Many believe that e-cigarettes are less harmful than regular cigarettes, but in reality, they are just as dangerous to health.

According to health experts, e-cigarettes may seem safer, but they contain nicotine, heavy metals, and other harmful chemicals. These can lead to addiction and cause breathing problems in teenagers.

Recent global surveys have revealed that millions of young people are using e-cigarettes (also called vaping), and many have become addicted. Experts say this addiction not only harms the lungs but can also lead to heart problems and mental stress.

To tackle this issue, the UK government has announced a complete ban on single-use vapes starting from June 1, 2025. Experts in Pakistan are also urging the government to introduce strict laws to control the growing trend of vaping, especially banning flavored vapes that attract youth.

Lastly, to completely stop the use of e-cigarettes, it is important to spread awareness among the public. Campaigns should be launched to educate people about the dangers of vaping so they can quit using it entirely.
