Renowned Pakistani actress and model Sunita Marshall has finally addressed the long-standing curiosity surrounding her religious stance and marriage to actor Hassan Ahmed, who embraced Islam.
In a candid recent interview, Sunita spoke openly about her personal life, marriage, and family background. She revealed that she and Hassan knew each other for five years before marriage, and she shared a warm bond with his family. “I used to visit their home often and was always treated with great respect and love,” she said.
Sunita clarified that she never faced any pressure to convert to Islam. “When I felt that there was no force or compulsion, and I was respected for who I am, I knew I could go ahead with the marriage.”
She added that her family resides in London, and it was her uncle who helped arrange the marriage after she informed him about Hassan. Sunita also disclosed that Hassan performed Umrah, and upon returning, he asked her about accepting Islam.
“I told him the same thing I’ve always believed I will only change my religion when I truly feel a spiritual transformation. And he accepted my answer,” she said.
