Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah issued a message to the public on the occasion of World Hepatitis Day, emphasizing the province’s leading role in the fight against hepatitis.

‎‎In his message, the Chief Minister highlighted the urgent need to raise public awareness about hepatitis. He stressed that vaccination and testing are critical to preventing the disease and reiterated the Sindh government’s commitment to providing better healthcare facilities to its people.

‎Murad Ali Shah stated that compared to the past, significant investments have been made in the health sector. He reaffirmed the government’s resolve to eliminate Hepatitis B and C completely. Free hepatitis testing and treatment services are being provided across Sindh, he added.

‎The Chief Minister revealed that over 7.5 million people have undergone hepatitis screening in the province, and the scope of free treatment is being expanded in both urban and rural areas. “Providing basic healthcare to every individual in Sindh is our mission,” he said.

‎He further noted that special hepatitis counters have been established in hospitals. “The global goal of eliminating hepatitis by 2030 is achievable, but it requires collective efforts,” Shah emphasized.

‎He also mentioned that healthcare projects in Sindh are running successfully in collaboration with international organizations.
