A small ancient settlement, believed to be thousands of years old and resembling Mohenjo-daro, has been discovered in Karachi’s Malir district. The site has yielded significant archaeological findings, including women’s jewelry, remnants of houses, and signs of domesticated animals.
According to details, the archaeological site, named Allah Dino, has been discovered in Malir and bears similarities to the Indus Valley Civilization city of Mohenjo-daro. Renowned archaeologist Rafiq Baloch stated that the site includes artifacts indicating the presence of a settled community — such as women’s ornaments, residential structures, and evidence of domesticated animals.
He further revealed that the discovery was made with the collaboration of American experts. The Department of Archaeology has since sent a letter to the Deputy Commissioner of Malir, requesting that the site be preserved due to its historical significance.
