DUET Entry Test 2025: 3466 Participants as Applicants Fight on 1688 Seats

Karachi – Dawood University of engineering and technology (DUET) held its 2025 examination of all its applicants on 20 of July 2025 in Karachi and Sukkur simultaneously. Out of the 3,677 registered candidates, 3,466 showed up to take the exam, which corresponds to a 94 percent attendance.

Organized by IBA Testing Services Karachi the test was conducted at IBA Main Campus, IBA City campus and the CEMET Rohri center of DUET. This year DUET has been giving admissions in 18 fields and 1688 seats e.g. engineering, architecture and a new course, Bachelor of Science (Information Security Engineering) has been opened this year, which has been approved by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).

There was an increasing gender diversity in STEM as women were 23.3 percent of the candidates. The applicants were representing various boards with the highest number of applicants (1,999) representing Board of Intermediate Education Karachi.

Electronic attendance in QR and shuttle services were also reviewed by the vice chancellor eng. prof. dr. Samreen Hussain (SI, TI) and senior officials during the visit to test centers which were air-conditioned halls. Transparent and technological-enabled environment were sung by candidates and parents.
