An Australian priest, Gould David, who spent 45 years serving in the Christian clergy, has embraced Islam and now goes by the name Abdul Rahman. His journey toward Islam began during a visit to Perth for a family funeral, where he stayed near a mosque and was gifted a Quran by an imam. David said that he asked God for clarity and began reading the Quran with an open heart. Within days, he described feeling a strong emotional and intellectual connection with the teachings of Islam. Later, he visited the Hobart mosque and reaffirmed his Shahada during the Friday prayers, where he was warmly welcomed by the Muslim community.
