Islamabad -Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has officially started its Fall 2025 semester admissions, and it is accepting applications Matric, Intermediate, BS, BA, MA, MSc, M.Ed, MPhil, PhD, and different certificate programs.
The admissions started on July 1, 2025 and the university has announced August 15, as the last date of BS, B.Ed, MA/MSc and postgrad diploma programs. The last date in the case of Matric, FA and certificate courses is September 5, 2025. There will be late charges beyond the due dates.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nasir Mahmood pointed out the mission of AIOU to provide access of higher education to everyone. The university shall maintain the free internet and computer capabilities at the regional centers to assist applicants, particularly those in the distant regions.
AIOU has equally diversified into offering professional training diplomas, teacher education certifications, which means that working professionals and non-traditional learners can more easily update their qualifications.
Having the largest reach in the education sector in Pakistan, the Fall 2025 drive is a continuation of the process by which AIOU is attempting to democratize education by providing distance learning opportunities.
