Another Rabies Case Reported in Karachi

Another case of rabies has been reported in the port city, as 75 year old Naimat Gul, a resident of Lyari, has shown symptoms of the disease.

‎According to Dr. Irfan Siddiqui, Deputy Incharge of the Emergency Room at Jinnah Hospital, the patient admitted to Jinnah Hospital was bitten by a dog three months ago. The affected individual is experiencing symptoms such as fear of water, anxiety, difficulty breathing, and throat spasms.

‎Dr. Irfan Siddiqui stated that the patient did not receive the rabies vaccine after the dog bite incident.

‎This year, two confirmed cases each have been reported at Jinnah Hospital and Indus Hospital. Of the four cases, two are from Karachi, while one was brought from interior Sindh and one from Balochistan.
