Azaan Sami Khan recently shared an intense behind-the-scenes moment from Main Manto Nahi Hoon, revealing that he nearly fainted while shooting his very first scene for the drama.
Speaking on Buzz on ARY Digital, Azaan said the scene where Farhad Binyamin arrives to shoot Manto was the first one he filmed. The shoot took place in Bahria Town, and he had to perform opposite Humayun Saeed and Sanam Saeed, both highly acclaimed actors.
According to Azaan, the pressure of facing such big stars made the moment overwhelming. “It was my first scene, and I had to do all of Farhad’s antics in front of Humayun bhai and Sanam. I felt dizzy and even asked director Nadeem Baig for water,” he shared.
The actor added that despite his nervousness, the director remained calm and supportive, helping him complete the scene successfully. Azaan’s portrayal of Farhad Binyamin ultimately earned him praise for bringing depth and emotion to a complex, flawed character in the series that revolved around Farhad and Suraiyya Phupho.
