Docks Police Arrest Notorious Robber Involved in Shooting Civilian During Mugging Attempt

arachi (District Keamari): Docks Police successfully apprehended a wanted suspect involved in injuring a citizen during a robbery attempt on West Wharf Road.

The arrested suspect has been identified as Ibrahim alias Bijli.

According to the police, the suspect was found in possession of an illegal pistol along with ammunition.

Investigation revealed that on June 19, 2025, the suspect shot and injured a citizen named Irshad Ali in both legs during a robbery in the jurisdiction of Aram Bagh Police Station.

A case (FIR No. 225/25) was already registered against him under sections 394/397/34 PPC at Aram Bagh Police Station.

The suspect was identified and tracked down with the help of CCTV footage.

Further investigations confirmed that Ibrahim alias Bijli is a repeat offender, previously arrested and jailed in multiple criminal cases. His name also appears in the list of habitual criminals maintained by the police.

The arrest was carried out by a police team led by SHO Docks Inspector Nand Lal.

A new case has also been registered under the Sindh Arms Act, and further investigation is underway.
