The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested five men involved in smuggling Pakistani citizens to Iran and Turkiye. The operation took place in Taftan and Loralai, towns near the Iran and Afghanistan borders.
According to the FIA, the suspects — Rasool Bacha, Aminullah, Hashmat Ali, Talib Hussain, and Ehsanullah — were linked with an agent named Faheem Gujjar, who is based in Iran. Some of them arranged illegal travel to Iran and Turkiye, while others helped people cross the border unlawfully.
The agency said these men were already on the “most wanted list” of Pakistani embassies in Iran and Turkiye. During the raid, FIA also rescued four citizens who were about to be smuggled.
