ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced another revision in petroleum prices, increasing the cost of petrol while reducing the rate of high-speed diesel (HSD).
Petrol has been increased by Rs1.82 per litre, taking the new price to Rs396.65 per litre, according to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division. The price of high-speed diesel, meanwhile, has been reduced by Re0.91 per litre to Rs394.94 per litre.
The revised prices will come into effect from October 8. The latest adjustment follows a revision for October 7, when petrol was increased to Rs394.83 per litre while HSD was reduced to Rs395.85 per litre.
Petroleum prices are being adjusted under the government’s pricing mechanism in line with movements in international fuel prices, Platts rates, premiums and other applicable costs.
