Doha: During his visit to Qatar, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the United States is very close to finalizing a deal with Iran.
“I believe we are very close to making a deal with Iran,” Trump stated.
On the matter of Russia and Ukraine, Trump said the U.S. is working towards progress and expressed hope that the conflict will come to an end soon. He mentioned that if appropriate, he may attend the Russia-Ukraine peace talks in Turkey on Friday.
Trump also revealed that India has offered the U.S. a zero-tariff trade deal.
Highlighting the significance of his Gulf tour, Trump declared it a record-breaking visit, adding that deals worth $350–400 billion could be finalized within 4 to 5 days.
