KARACHI: Edhi volunteers who were among the first people to closely examine Mir Raza Ali’s body have shared details about the condition of the body and the scene where it was found. the volunteers said police vehicles were already present when they reached the location.
According to the volunteers, the area was covered with numerous flower pots and bushes. With assistance from police personnel, they cleared the area and removed the obstacles before attending to the body.
They said that while straightening the body, they noticed what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The volunteers said they lifted the victim’s shirt and observed a small, round wound from which blood was still coming out.
They also noticed an oily substance on the body, which led them to suspect that some type of chemical substance may have been poured over him. The volunteers stressed that the nature of the substance would need to be established through forensic examination.
The volunteers said police officers later instructed them to move the body into a vehicle.
They further said that officials faced difficulty obtaining fingerprints from the victim’s hands. Despite repeated attempts to clean them, the skin appeared severely damaged, according to the volunteers.
