First Polio Eradication Campaign of the Year to Begin on February 2 ‎

The first nationwide polio eradication campaign of the year will be conducted from February 2 to February 8 across the country.

‎According to the National EOC, more than 45 million children will be administered polio drops during the campaign, while over 400,000 polio workers will perform their duties during the seven day national drive.

‎In Punjab, more than 23 million children will be given polio drops, in Sindh more than 10.6 million children will be administered polio drops, and in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa more than 7.2 million children will receive polio drops.

‎In Balochistan, more than 2.6 million children will be given polio drops, in Islamabad more than 460,000 children will be administered polio drops, and in Gilgit Baltistan more than 228,000 children will receive polio drops.

‎According to the National EOC, more than 760,000 children will be administered polio drops in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
