Hailey Bieber has reached a significant milestone in her entrepreneurial career as her skincare brand, Rhode, enters a $1 billion acquisition deal with cosmetics giant e.l.f. Beauty.
The deal, officially announced by Bieber via Instagram, includes $800 million in cash and stock, with an additional $200 million contingent on the brand’s performance over the next three years. Founded in 2022, Rhode quickly rose to prominence for its minimalist skincare approach and viral social media success.
“When I launched @rhode in 2022, I always had big dreams for the company,” Bieber wrote in her post. “The most important thing to me is to keep bringing Rhode to more spaces, places, and faces globally.”
As part of the agreement, Bieber, 28, will assume expanded roles within the brand, serving as Chief Creative Officer and Head of Innovation. She will also act as a strategic adviser to e.l.f. Beauty, guiding the brand’s future direction.
Bieber expressed gratitude toward her team and supporters, writing, “This next chapter is going to be even more incredible together!” Her husband, singer Justin Bieber, acknowledged the achievement by reposting her announcement on Instagram Stories.
The acquisition solidifies Rhode’s status among top-tier celebrity beauty brands, and significantly boosts Bieber’s financial profile, with her net worth now projected to place her among the world’s youngest billionaires.
The move also reflects e.l.f. Beauty’s ongoing strategy to expand its global reach through high-profile brand partnerships.
