Pakistani actress Hania Aamir has made a historic debut in Indian Punjabi cinema with Sardaar Ji 3, opposite superstar Diljit Dosanjh, marking the biggest opening day for any Indian Punjabi film in Pakistan’s cinematic history.
Despite initial geopolitical tensions and the shelving of cross-border projects following the India-Pakistan standoff, Sardaar Ji 3 was released internationally—excluding India—after Diljit Dosanjh refused to drop Hania Aamir from the cast. His decision faced backlash and threats, but he stood firm, leading to the film’s eventual global release.
On its opening day in Pakistan, Sardaar Ji 3 raked in over PKR 3 crore, surpassing all previous records for Indian Punjabi films in the country. The phenomenal response has not only brought Hania into the spotlight but also highlighted the growing demand for cross-cultural cinema in the region.
Hania Aamir, celebrating the film’s success, took to Instagram to thank her fans, writing, “I love you Pakistan,” and expressing her gratitude for the overwhelming support.
This debut marks a major milestone for the young actress, who now joins the ranks of Pakistani stars achieving international acclaim. With Sardaar Ji 3, Hania has not only bridged borders through art but also proven her box office power at home.
