The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has approved a major revision to the curriculum for Business and Management degree programs to modernize academic standards and align education with global market demands.
The update covers BBA, BS, MBA, EMBA, MS, and Associate Degree programs across universities in the country. The new curriculum focuses on improving academic quality, strengthening industry relevance, and ensuring uniform standards nationwide.
The decision follows an extensive review by the National Curriculum Revision Committee (NCRC), which convened at the Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences) in Peshawar. The meeting brought together leading education experts and academicians from universities across Pakistan, supported by HEC’s Curriculum Division.
According to HEC, the revised framework aligns with the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and HEC’s Undergraduate and Graduate Education Policies 2023, making the programs consistent with national and international academic requirements.
The session was chaired by Dr. Naukhez Sarwar, Principal of NUST Business School, with Dr. Farooq-e-Azam Cheema, Provost of KSBL Karachi, serving as Co-Convener. Hidayatullah Kasi, Deputy Director at HEC, served as Secretary of the committee.
