Senior politician Khawaja Saad Rafique has criticised the latest increase in petrol prices, questioning how ordinary people will survive under rising inflation.
In his reaction, Saad Rafique said repeated hikes in petroleum prices were increasing the financial burden on citizens. He said higher fuel prices directly affect transport fares, food costs and daily expenses.
He urged the government to review the decision and provide relief to the public. Saad Rafique said people were already struggling with expensive electricity, gas and essential commodities, while the latest petrol price hike would further worsen their difficulties.
The statement comes amid growing criticism from political leaders and citizens over the increase in petroleum prices.
