Karachi — MQM Pakistan leader Farooq Sattar has said that if the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Mayor of Karachi ever manage to complete a project properly, they should be awarded thousands of dollars in prize money.
Speaking at a press conference, Sattar pointed to the Green Line project, which he said was supposed to be finished within months but was halted on September 18. According to him, the project’s NOC had been approved in 2017, but it was deliberately stalled because the credit would have gone to MQM.
He accused the Sindh government of dragging its feet on multiple development schemes, including the Red Line project. “Since 2008 they’ve been sitting on the K-IV water project without results. If it’s finally nearing completion, that’s only because of MQM’s push,” he said.
Sattar warned that while water might arrive through K-IV, the bigger challenge would be ensuring fair distribution among citizens.
