With the increase in the severity of cold weather in Lahore, there has been a rise in patients suffering from nose, ear, throat, respiratory, and asthma related illnesses.
In this regard, Medical Superintendent of Mayo Hospital Lahore, Dr Abdul Mudabbir, said that the number of patients visiting Mayo Hospital alone has increased by 10 percent, as people are being more affected due to dry cold in January.
He said that stomach related complaints are increasing among patients during severe cold and advised citizens not to consume soup, fish, and similar items from street markets.
Dr Abdul Mudabbir further said that eating such items from markets can cause stomach disorders.
