ISLAMABAD, August 8: The Anti-Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) has arrested a practicing lawyer allegedly involved in stealing vehicles from the parking lot of the Judicial Complex, police sources confirmed on Friday.
According to officials, raids are underway to apprehend another lawyer suspected of collaborating in the thefts. The arrested suspect has been identified as Advocate Rai Asad Kharal, while his accomplice, Aqeel Ahmed, remains at large.
Police said the arrested lawyer has confessed to stealing more than six cars, all belonging to his fellow legal practitioners. Both suspects are members of the Muridke Bar Association.
During the operation, law enforcement recovered two stolen vehicles from the possession of the detained suspect. Further investigations are in progress, and more recoveries are expected
