Mumbai:Comedian and actor Kapil Sharma is all set to return to the big screen with Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, the much-awaited sequel to his 2015 blockbuster debut. The film is slated to release on December 12, 2025, marking his comeback to cinema after a long hiatus.
Directed by Anukalp Goswami, the sequel is produced under the banner of Venus Worldwide Entertainment in association with Abbas–Mustan, the directorial duo behind the original. The film also stars Manjot Singh and several new faces, promising a mix of humor, romance, and chaos similar to the first installment.
The first poster, unveiled earlier this year, shows Kapil dressed as a groom, hinting that the sequel will once again revolve around his character’s tangled love life and comic misunderstandings. The makers describe it as a “madcap entertainer” that blends situational comedy with emotional moments.
The original Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon (2015) became a surprise hit, earning praise for Kapil Sharma’s comic timing and relatable storyline about a man juggling multiple marriages. Fans have since been eagerly waiting for a sequel.
While earlier reports suggested a September release to coincide with the original’s 10-year anniversary, the team has now finalized December 12 as the official date, placing the film in the lucrative holiday season.
The makers are expected to drop the teaser and trailer in the coming months, with promotions set to begin by mid-2025.
