KARACHI:Passengers travelling from Karachi to Saudi Arabia have been given additional time to prepare for vaccination certificate verification, with checks at Jinnah International Airport now reportedly scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM on November 20, 2026.
According to reports citing an official circular, the implementation date has been moved from October 15 to November 20. The extension is intended to give affected passengers and relevant agencies more time to prepare for the updated verification process.
The requirement concerns travellers covered by Saudi Arabia’s vaccination rules, including eligible Umrah pilgrims and certain other categories of passengers. Depending on the traveller’s purpose and circumstances, required vaccinations may include meningitis, polio and influenza.
Passengers are advised to confirm which vaccinations and documents apply to their journey before departure. They should also check whether their vaccination records need to be digitally registered or linked to NADRA under the applicable procedure.
Travellers should not assume that the extension removes the underlying vaccination requirements. They are encouraged to contact their airline or Border Health Services Pakistan for the latest instructions and to complete any required vaccinations well before travelling. Some vaccines must be administered a specified number of days before arrival.
The reported change applies to the timing of verification at Karachi airport. Passengers should confirm the revised date with the relevant authorities before making travel arrangements.
