The anti polio campaign in Karachi will begin on July 6 and continue for one week.
A meeting chaired by Karachi Commissioner Syed Hassan Naqvi was held to review preparations for the campaign. During the briefing, it was stated that a target has been set to administer polio drops to 2.5 million children across Karachi during the campaign.
The briefing further stated that a total of 26,000 polio workers will perform duties to ensure the success of the campaign, while 7,000 security personnel will also be deployed to ensure their safety.
On the occasion, Karachi Commissioner Syed Hassan Naqvi directed all deputy commissioners to pay special attention to children who are missed during the campaign and those whose parents refuse polio vaccination.
The Karachi Commissioner instructed officials to ensure that all targets of the anti polio campaign are achieved.
