A decision has been made to launch a special polio booster campaign in 89 union councils of Karachi from May 12.
According to the EOC Sindh, children up to 10 years of age will be administered polio prevention drops during the booster campaign.
EOC Sindh stated that the special polio booster campaign will continue from May 12 to May 25.
The campaign will be carried out in those union councils where the presence of the polio virus has been detected in sewage samples.
According to EOC Sindh, a target has been set to administer polio prevention drops to 1.8 million children in 89 union councils of Karachi.
EOC Sindh also stated that polio drops will be administered to children by setting up camps, including in schools.
